Drinking Responsibly — 100 Million Beers

In plain words: the registry counts beers people were already drinking. It never asks anyone to drink one, and it is built so it can't become a pressure to. If drinking is a problem for you or someone near you, real help is listed below — that matters more to us than any number on the ledger.
1. What the app will never do
The product is deliberately designed so participation can never turn into pressure:
- It never prompts you to drink. No notification, screen, or card ever asks for a beer. The ledger records; it does not order.
- A daily cap, with a hard stop. The day's ledger fills and closes. Excess never makes the count.
- One beer at a time. Entries are spaced out by design; there is no way to file a burst.
- No streaks, ever. Nothing rewards drinking on consecutive days, and skipping days costs nothing.
- No individual consumption rankings, ever. No one can "win" by drinking more. Only collectives — countries, cities, teams — appear in standings, and no public surface ever shows how much any person drank.
- Participation is free. Nobody ever pays to take part, and a beer never earns anyone money.
At the moment a beer is photographed, the camera itself says it plainly: ONE BEER AT A TIME. DRINK RESPONSIBLY.
2. The ground rules
- Never drive after drinking. No count is worth a key in the ignition.
- Don't drink if pregnant, on medication that interacts with alcohol, or advised not to by a doctor.
- Know your measure. National health guidelines on low-risk drinking are worth reading once — see rethinkingdrinking.niaaa.nih.gov (US) or your national health service's guidance.
- The gate is real. You must be 18+, or the higher legal drinking age where you are — the full table lives in the Age & Responsible Drinking Policy.
3. If drinking stops being a choice
If alcohol is a problem for you or someone you know, these are staffed, confidential, and free:
Deleting your ledger is always available in the app (Passport → fine print → DELETE MY LEDGER & IDENTITY), and the count will never miss you more than it respects you.
